MONOCHROMATIC

Wearing a single shade is boring right?  Of course not! In fact, rocking a head to toe monochromatic look is a simpler and cleaner approach to putting an outfit together.  We dress monochromatically from time to time, and love how the outfit has one uninterrupted line from head to toe elongating our silhouette giving us a sexier and taller appearance.  Embracing the trend, we styled these BCBG dresses with matching belts, bags and shoes for a sharp, sophisticated day look.  XO

SPRING STYLIN'

Tuesday, April 7, 2015

We are suckers for the classic black and white palette, but we love playing around with softer hues from time to time.  Pastels are gorgeous in spring and work great with complementary colors.  Opting for a clean and refreshing look without the fuss, we decided to rock solids in white, grey and blush pink.  This trio is perfect combined together and works so versatile in styling, making these outfits super easy to rock.  Closet basics are essential in building a wardrobe, that's why we tend to always lean towards solid interchangeable pieces that work great from season to season. So have fun while you're shopping but always remember to keep your eyes peeled for simple yet stylish pieces.  XO

HER

Do you still think that lingerie is strictly reserved for underneath your clothing? Lingerie-inspired looks are popping up everywhere from the runways to the red carpet and all the way to street style blogs like ours.  Corsets, bustiers and slips are making their way out of the bedroom as the budding trend of lingerie as outerwear becomes more acceptable in fashion.  Thanks to innovative and daring designers, lingerie as outerwear doesn't just mean seeing your camisole peeping through your blazer. Instead, I am all in with this trend, and love the idea of pairing ready-to-wear garments with intimates.  Channeling my outer bedroom experience, I decided to rock my super fitted H&M Shaping Slip as a dress, keeping it classy with a white coat and nude pump for a fresh lingerie-inspired day look.  When done correctly, incorporating this trend into your wardrobe can give your everyday look a couture cutting edge.  XO
