BLUSHING

Wednesday, July 6, 2016

There is no secret trick to wearing monochromatic outfits. As long as you have tops, bottoms and accessories in the same color or different shades of the color, dressing in one cohesive hue is super simple and looks extremely chic.  The single uninterrupted line from head to toe helps to elongate a woman's natural silhouette giving us all a sexier and taller appearance.

Keeping the palette consistent is also a great look if you want to draw the eye to a new statement item like we did with these flare pants from HHHG Luxe. The age old myth about dressing in the same color is that the outfit can go from classically chic to bland and boring in a matter of seconds. The easiest way to rock monochromatic looks without crossing over to boring is to mix in pieces with different textures and materials. Here we played up leather, cotton, sheer and polyester, but opted to stay in the blush family to ace the monochrome look we were going for.
