The flowers are blooming and it's time we pulled out our fav spring hues in blush pinks, deep blues and khaki. Taking a pair of high-waist trousers and pairing them with a beautiful blush colored crop top adds a nice and fresh touch to an old vintage find.  Trench coats are and forever will be a classic piece and we love to wear them in multiple ways especially as the star piece for a sexy day look. Take your clothes and play with them -- and don't be afraid to mix it up pairing old with new or rock an outerwear piece as the only piece. XO

BASICALLY CHIC

Spring is finally here, but we aren't putting up our winter wardrobe, and neither should you. Transitioning clothing between seasons can be daunting and slightly overwhelming, but rest assure that some of your basic winter pieces still have a place in your spring wardrobe.  Both of these tops we copped in late December on our typical black and white hunt in the mall and decided to restyle them as a cooler, more refreshing look for the new season.  If you know anything about us, you know we like simple looks -- never over done, just the right amount of personal style.  Staying true to our style esthetic, Kay opted for a basic black legging and I kept it classic in a custom skirt by Chai Design Studio.  Basics never looked so easy! XO

H&M has always been one of our favorite places to shop due to the large variety of simple go-to garments and budget-friendly prices.  When shopping in H&M, there are a couple of rules we like to stick to when flipping through the racks. Because H&M is such a popular store, in such a small world, sticking to solid colors is key. Solids are so timeless and clean and often speak louder than a bold print or pattern. Also shop smart -- look for pieces that you feel are a must have, like these new trending bucket bags, perfect to polish up any casual chic look. Lastly, grab pieces that you feel comfortable in and can see yourself wearing over and over throughout this season and the next. BLACK OUT

Does it come in any other colors, you know.. better colors, you know.. Black? Seriously, that is our mood every time we go shopping together.  Instantly our eyes gravitate towards all things black, for that rich dark effect we can't get enough of.  Black is the ultimate go-to color and all black everything, well, it doesn't get much better than that.  On a recent trip to H&M, we copped a few pieces out of the runway section, and kept the styling sexy with lace, leather, and louboutins.  There's no secret strategy to wearing all black -- it's the easiest monochromatic combo to accomplish.  So when all else fails or when you're just in that kind of mood, layer up in black on black. WHITE HOUSE | BLACK MARKET

Can you say addicted?  I am totally infatuated with black and white and loving the clean and crisp effect the duo delivers.  This look was super simple and easy, which is so critical for my hectic schedule.  Go for the statement piece and build the rest of your outfit around it for a balanced look that draws your eye in for that one specific focus.  BCBG delivered with this leather fringe belt, which I threw over a pair of leather skinnies for added detail.  A crisp white shirt is a closet must must have (Yes, I meant to say must 2 x's), because I can't stress this point enough.  Keeping a few of these on rotation is essential! So when time is of the essence and you want to look polished without overdoing it, stick to the basics, they won't let you down.  XO
