Fall is our favorite by far and the most forgiving of all the seasons. With the weather not too hot and not quite too cold, you can practically get away with everything from layering, baring a little skin, sporting an open toe heel, or rocking a thigh high boot.  As the #1 fan of the All Black Everything club, Cari struts a Yves Saint Laurent dress with an added leather tie belt to snatch in the waist line.  We love pulling out this little trick when wearing flowy dresses that do our shape no justice at all. What better way to top the look off than with the signature Alicia Boot by Tony Bianco and the simple Lauren Clutch from Halston Heritage.  Kay makes a statement in a beaded crop top from Zara, copped last season during a cant-miss sale.  The key to the crop is not bare too much skin -- just a sliver around the midsection is plenty.  To keep is classy, Kay wore here BCBG high-waist trousers and the simple black Zara pump that seems to virtually go with absolute everything.

WHITE OUT

Saturday, October 24, 2015

Who says you can't wear white after Labor Day? If you still believe in this myth, it's time to throw it out once and for all.  From season to season, runway show after runway show, countless designers show us that white isn't only approved for those warmer months.  When done right, white is amazingly fresh and crisp when worn when the weather turns a little chilly.  The key to rocking the cool tone in fall and winter is keeping in mind it's all about the fabric.  There's no place for summer's light and airy textiles like linen and seersucker in the cooler months.  Instead, we're pulling out the leather, heavy cottons and polyester for these looks to keep it fall-chic while still rocking white.

BLACK OUT

Wednesday, March 4, 2015

Does it come in any other colors, you know.. better colors, you know.. Black? Seriously, that is our mood every time we go shopping together.  Instantly our eyes gravitate towards all things black, for that rich dark effect we can't get enough of.  Black is the ultimate go-to color and all black everything, well, it doesn't get much better than that.  On a recent trip to H&M, we copped a few pieces out of the runway section, and kept the styling sexy with lace, leather, and louboutins.  There's no secret strategy to wearing all black -- it's the easiest monochromatic combo to accomplish.  So when all else fails or when you're just in that kind of mood, layer up in black on black. XO

BLUSHED

Monday, February 23, 2015

When all else fails wear all white, a cotton candy colored coat, and some super bad maroon Prada boots. Ok, so I'm exaggerating a bit but I absolutely adore this color combo in the winter months.  A fan of all white after labor day (I hope I'm not alone on this one), I let my outfit fall to the background and featured this blush H&M coat I got for a steal during the summer. My winter splurge had to be these suede Prada boots I copped during the Saks semi-annual sale, which paired great with the soft palette. Playing around with different hues in the same family takes a look from basic to basically right on trend in a stylish, yet creative way. XO

THE IVY LEAUGE

Friday, February 20, 2015

The days are gone when black and white was confined to the 9-5's and corporate setting, now this super chic combo pops up everywhere in fashion.  Black and white ensembles are chicer than ever before and we just love how fresh and sharp outfits are when choosing to stick to the basics.  This sister look was inspired by the Ivy style, keeping it preppy yet true to our personal style aesthetic.  Playing around with different variations of fashion is exhilarating and keeps our wardrobe interesting.  The key to this look is starting with the classics, those timelessly effortless pieces that have a preppy edge to them.  Tory Burch, Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors are great designers that embrace their inner Ivey League side from time to time and have some cool pieces that work great with this style.  So try it out and always remember to have fun. XO
